All Type Flooring’s Vortex, AquaPro and Aquadrop ranges are suitable for indoor use only. They must maintain a normal indoor humidity level of between 35% and 65% throughout the year, in order to minimize the natural expansion and contraction of the wood. A span of 12 metres and above must have an allowance for an expansion trim, as per installation guidelines.

During the hotter seasons, an humidifier is recommended to prevent excess shrinkage due to low humidity levels.

During other seasons, an air conditioner or dehumidifier will assist in maintaining humidity levels in the summer months.

All flooring installations must have black plastic laid under the boards, in order to allow for product expansion and contraction.
